Back With a Win!
Back from summer holidays and picked up a win [yes, there were a couple of losses too] in a King's Gambit Accepted - Bishop's Gambit Tourney being hosted at ChessWorld.net by chessfriend trooperscoop. Here's the position...
Black just played Be3. At first, this looked like a pretty nice pin on the Knight at d2 threatening the Rook. In looking for a place to put the Rook [and following Mr. Thayer's Middle Game rule number 4 - Release all pins immediately.] I spotted the suddenly obvious Rc6 ++.
Multiple hat tips to DG at Boylston and Chessdad64 at The 64 Square Jungle for the new diagram tool from ChessUp.net. Does a pretty nice job eh?
